On November 29th, senior officials and government departments of Sri Lanka officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Sunrise Energy Co., Ltd. (referred to as Sunrise Energy) to deepen comprehensive collaboration in the field of photovoltaics.
Tharindu Ishara Amarasinghe, the authorized representative of the Sri Lankan government, and Yuan Qinghua, the General Manager of Sunrise Energy, signed the '150MW Photovoltaic System Supply Agreement' on-site. Dharaka Abeywickrama/ Haburugala Withanage, Advisor to the President of Sri Lanka, and James, Director of Overseas Markets at Sunrise Energy, attended the signing ceremony as witnesses.
Yuan Qinghua stated that the development goal set by the Sri Lankan government to achieve a photovoltaic power generation capacity of 2 million kilowatts by 2025 aligns with Sunrise Energy' long-standing brand philosophy of 'Creating a Sustainable Future.' The signing of this strategic cooperation agreement builds a higher-level platform for innovative development between the two parties.
In response, Dharaka Abeywickrama/ Haburugala Withanage expressed agreement and recognition. He pointed out that through the successful signing of the photovoltaic system supply agreement between the authorized representative of Sri Lanka and Sunrise Energy, both parties will better leverage their respective strengths to support Sri Lanka's goal of achieving 70% renewable energy supply by 2030. This collaboration aims to drive progress and development in new energy technologies.
